Wisdom Over Wealth was founded by Bill O’Connell who had a vision of providing practical financial wisdom to ministries of Jesus Christ. Bill has spent over 30 years within church leadership, serving in roles such as Treasurer, Deacon, and Elder. He has developed a reputation as an accomplished church financial professional.

Through these experiences Bill saw a need in the local church and an opportunity in the marketplace. In the local church, he saw a need for a quality ministry that provides financial clarity. At the same time, he saw an opportunity in the marketplace for women as accounting professionals to continue in their careers across different seasons.

This has opened the doors for professionals to fulfill the roles of ministry and family alongside a flourishing career.

Since its founding, Wisdom Over Wealth has served Christian ministries on four continents including some of the largest churches in the developing world. Wisdom currently serves churches throughout America in many capacities. These roles include partnering with local churches in over 40 states, acting as the principle service provider to a Christian loan fund, and serving the district office of an international fellowship.
